Cataclysm which tank
Remember, this is from my point of view. When I write that a tank style is boring, it's obviously because I think so, not necessarily because of some innate property of the class. Some things haven't changed much since Wrath, and you will find similarities to my old post when those matters are concerned.
If you level as a tank and find out half way that you didn't like it, you can still use the same char to be a melee, healer or caster! Although it doesn't make the tanking more fun per se, it can still be nice to be able to take a break from tanking and do something else if wanted.
Because of paladins being a mana using class, Blizzard has given them a bunch of cooldown skills, which usually are used in a special order to maximize efficiency. Although a real tanking situation doesn't always allow for one to use a rotation, this is still basically what paladin tanking is all about, rotating skills. This means that if you ever roll a tankadin, you could eventually respecc to dps or healer as with a druid.
Although this doesn't actually affect the way a tankadin tanks, I still think it could be an important thing or factor when choosing what tank class to play. I was really intriguied by this and saw something of a plate wearing warlock for my inner eye. It didn't really turn out that way. Although Blizzard had really interesting visions for Death Knights they're mostly a sort of paladin counterpart. There is something unique about Death Knights however. You will learn fast and have a great experience.
It is not until heroic dungeons things get tricky really. DPS and Tanking is so different from each other, so there is no point in going with one thing for the lvls you are supposed to learn the game and then change when things have gotten a bit tougher and you don't know what to do, since the skills you use as a class differ from what role you play and you get some of the most important abilities from your talent tree.
DPS is only hard when you play a class that is complicated like a rogue or a feral druid. Even then DPS is still a game, while tanking is a job and healing is an art. Anyone, absolutely anyone can be good at DPS. If your saying its hard to be above average, then I will agree with you but even that will get less and less as the game goes on.
For tanking, go pally to learn the ropes and then go warrior when you want to be big time. They are all good though, just some are better at things that others arent. Definitely make a new character to be your tank though, learn from doing lowbie instances. On my dps'er and my healers, I always appreciated pally tanks the most above other tanks. Their aggro management is normally far and above the other tank classes.
I have tried warrior tanking, DK tanking, and druid tanking, in addition to my pally. I couldn't stand the warrior, and although the DK and druid were fun, I wasn't as confident in them in a group setting as I was in my pally tank. As for this discussion on which role is easiest I think that even, yes, good dps is the easiest role - unfortunately most dps'ers don't care enough to be good.
They're only interested in the numbers. Tanks and healers aren't difficult persay, but they're stressful, because in either role, you feel like it all comes down on you - and it does. Bring back the main forum list. This edit will also create new pages on Giant Bomb for: Beware, you are proposing to add brand new pages to the wiki along with your edits. A technical truck, plus M60, plus makeshift armor equals Fun and a modified tractor bulldozer with a flamethrower, for extra demolition ability.
Two civilian vehicles. Forklifts are basic electric vehicles, and the forks are built as being sorta pointy while able to hold items. Farm tractors are the basic agricultural tracked vehicle. Currently forklifts are dummied out due to depending on mapgen hax. Bandit-ified vehciles and tractors are uncommon spawn on roads and highways. Item Additions and Tweaks: mm cannons. Both are bulky, heavy, and must be mounted to use.
You have a single-shot version, and one with a built-in autoloading mechanism. In practice this is reflected in how much volume for shells the mounted gun has. In addition to finding them on tanks, dismantling a tank drone will now yield the autoloading version. The Remote Weapon Station is now upgraded to a mm version, functioning like a turret.
Aside from no longer using the insanely-high price debug items use, they also gain a whopping 10 volume. And now, 30mm autocannon. Two variants of anti-tank guided missile launcher. One manual and usable as a personal weapon like the heavy machineguns , the other a turret version. Ability to handload crude ammo for the 30mm, mm, and mm shells. Uses casings, fresh electric primers, and plenty of gunpowder plus lead.
Your options are shot for mm and mm or slug all 3. A launcher skill book. Monster tweaks: Tankbots will drop at least a single mm shell on destruction, in addition to its usual spawns. As already mentioned, dismantling a broken tankbot will yield a mm cannon. Mapgen tweaks have been dummied out due to bugs. Powder and shot, projectile and propellent?
