Where is bourbon chicken from




















Some claim it comes from Kentucky, home to most of the bourbon distilleries in the United States. Others say it's named for Bourbon Street in New Orleans. Was it created by a Chinese chef in New Orleans as a localized version of drunken chicken, which uses rice wine?

Does it even contain bourbon? While some of these questions will never be answered, we can tell you if it actually contains bourbon. The answer is "Sometimes! The other thing we are sure about is that this dish, which features four of the five flavor groups, will be a hit with your family.

All you need is soy sauce, ginger, brown sugar, and bourbon whiskey that you'll end up using to prepare your sauce. But like with many dishes that incorporate liquor , beer, or wine, there comes a common misconception that you can't actually get drunk from eating them.

This tastes sort of like General Tsao's but just has a unique flavor all its own due to the bourbon. Now I know what to do with the big bottle of bourbon I bought by mistake.

Thanks for this super easy recipe packed with flavor. I made this for my husband and I and another couple. I cut up 8 boneless breasts smaller Tyson ones into bite-sized pieces and marinated over nite and then baked it as instructed and it was delicious.
